PSIKOLOGI SUKAN- Part 1

STRATEGI MENTAL: Mengawal Kebimbangan Dalam Sukan.

Kebangkitan fisiologi yang berlebihan dan kebimbangan merupakan salah satu elemen yang boleh menggugat prestasi individu dalam sukan. Antara contoh terbaik yang dapat kita lihat adalah kegagalan pasukan MUTD mengekalkan momentum mutu permainan dalam 2 perlawanan terakhirnya. Walaupun pada peringkat awalnya, para peminat dan pengkritik sukan menjangkakan MUTD dapat mengalahkan Liverpool dan Fulham berdasarkan prestasi semasa yang memberangsangkan, tetapi tekanan yang dihadapi apabila beraksi di depan penonton sendiri di samping tekanan mengekalkan kedudukan teratas EPL menyebabkan mereka tewas. Walaupun faktor lain mempengaruhi kekalahan pasukan ini seperti peningkatan prestasi Liverpool dan kekurangan pemain kerana dibuang padang, tidak dapat dinafikan bahawa memang terdapat masalah psikologi yang melanda pasukan ini. Kegagalan beberapa pemain ternama mengawal kebimbangan serta tekanan yang hadir semasa beraksi menyebabkan prestasi pasukan agak merosot..
Sebenarnya, senario ini juga wujud dalam beberapa jenis sukan yang lain serta melibatkan beberapa ahli sukan ternama dunia. Kegagalan melakukan tindakan yang sepatutnya pada saat-saat genting sering kali menjadi penyebab kepada kekalahan pemain atau pasukan ternama. Kegagalan melakukan tindakan yang tepat ini berkemungkinan besar berpunca dari tekanan, kebangkitan serta peningkatan tahap kebimbangan sehingga menyebabkan individu berkenaan tidak mampu memberikan tumpuan serta berfikir dengan baik sebelum membuat sesuatu keputusan. Kesannya, tindakan yang dibuat di bawah tekanan sering kali menyebabkan keputusan yang tidak dijangka sama sekali. Contoh yang paling tepat ialah tindakan Paul Scholes menghalang bola dengan kedua-dua tangannya daripada memasuki gawang semasa menentang Liverpol menunjukkan bahawa beliau tidak mampu berfikir dengan baik kerana tekanan.
